PCP Funds
PCP Balanced Fund
The PCP Balanced Fund is a diversified balanced fund of funds; through its investment in PCP Specialised Funds, aims to seek higher returns in the medium to long term, accepting short-term fluctuations in Fund values characterised as medium risk. The Asset Allocation Committee anticipates that broad diversification will make this Fund less volatile than those of a more specialised nature, and historically this type of fund has significantly outperformed the more cautious funds that have a strong emphasis on fixed interest.
As asset allocation accounts for around 80% of portfolio returns, it is such a vital component in investment strategy that it requires special attention. Fund Managers are specialists and no single Fund Manager can be an expert across the board. PCP Fund’s solution was to select a specialised committee of fund managers, all leaders in their field, and set up a method whereby their collective talents can be employed to the benefit of PCP clients. Past and Present committee members include Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Canada, specialists from Close Private Bank, PIMCO, Forsyth Partners, Morgan Stanley Quilter and Swiss Life, who determine the asset allocation of PCP's Global Managed Funds.
Each member researches, analyzes and forecasts market trends.
The combined results are debated until a consensus is reached on the most promising ideas in which to invest. The consensus is then applied to the weightings of the global funds.
This process is ongoing.

PCP Aggressive Fund
The PCP Aggressive Fund is designed for investors who seek above average returns, principally from equity markets and who are prepared to accept a higher degree of investment risk or volatility in the process. The Fund is characterised as higher risk because, through its investment in the Specialist Funds, it may carry an above average level of exposure to new or emerging markets which could include those of South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, Latin America and Emerging Europe.
